This MCD-203 Mark 2 version
comprises further improvements in the following aspects:
- a heavier CD transport,
- the D/A converter by Analog Devices is further improved and now
reaches a fine resolution of 24 bits / 192 kHz.
- also the analog endstage is more refined now.
- the design was adapted to our new MAA-705 mono power amps and
MPP-505 preamplifier.
Our aim was to
develop a player which delivers unsurpassed sound quality.
Developing the MCD-203, our absolute priorities were:
1) a high quality deck mechanism
2) the last generation D/A Converter
3) a tube stage
4) a generous power supply
Musical nuances are revealed with high precision, the DAC 24bit /
192 kHz D/A converter combined with the tube interface ensures an
extremely wide dynamic range and low distortion.This player also
features balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (cinch / RCA) outputs.
The already outstanding sound reproduction of this CD-player can
be improved even further (more details below).
